These are information about other groups which are going to go to the tour with The Summer Set:

• Stereo Skyline: It is a power-pop music band formed in East Meadow, New York. They has some changes until 2006 when the band were completely formed. The group has Kevin Bard as vocalist and guitarist, Clayton Johnson with his guitar, Bran Madoxx (Bass) and Rob Michelsen with drums. They released two EPs and a full-Length (Stuck or Repeat)  with Columbia Records.

• Mod Sun: He is a hip-hop singer, who contrast with the pop style of the tour. He was born in a bus in Bloomington, Mimmesota. His real name is Dylan Smith (althoug he was born as Derek, he changed his name when he was 18 years old) who started in the music world with the band "Handson" . After be with 3 more groups which had succes, he stated alone, with his Hippy Hop.

• The Downtown Fiction: They are an american pop punk band from Fairfax, Virginia, which started in 2008. The components are: Cameron Lehay (vocal/guitar), David Pavluck (bass/back vocal) and Eric Jones (drums). They have two EPs: "The Downtown Fiction" and "Best I Never Had"

• Austin Gibbs: originally form Houston, Texas, however, he went to Mesa, Arizona in 2001 where he became singer with some friend. In April 2009 he released his first EP, and actually is represented by "Eighty One Twenty Three Management".

(I know it is not direct information about The Summer Set, but, I think is interesting know something about other american groups)

Travellin' Show

Hello:)!
How are you? I hope you are sitting, because "The Summer Set" have a tour around  EE UU. Yes, I probably exagerated a little jeje.
The thing is, "The Summer Set" are now in The Emerson Theater in Indianapolis, and tomorrow they are going to stay at Beat Kitchen, Chicago. This is their first major tour, called Travellin' Show.

They have the colaboration of Stereo Skyline, Mod Sun, The Downtown Fiction and Austin Gibbs, all good gruops and singers. If you like "The Summer set" maybe you like The Dowtown Fiction,Stereo Skyline or Austin Gibbs, but Mod Sun is a bit more rap singer.

Group Members

Hello!
I think is interesting know a bit about the members of The Summer Set group, so read:


Brian Dales- His full name is Brian Logan Dales. He is from Scottsdale, Arizona. With 20 years is the vocalist of the group and her capitan. The Summer Set have a song called Chelsea in honor of his girlfriend: Chelsea Straud.














Sthephen Gomez- He was born in December 18th of 1988, so now he's 21 years old, and is the bassist of the group, however he also has a parallel project with Justin Godsey called The Wide Awake.



Josh Montgomery- I think, he is 22 years old, but I am not really sure. He is from Scottsdale like Brian Dale, and is the band's guitarist.



John Gomez- Well, as everyone have thought, he is the Stephen Gomez's brother. He is two year smaller than his brother, so he's 19 years old, and actually is the group's second guitarist.
 

Jessica Bowen- Commonly known as Jess, is the only girl of the group, who plays the drums, with 20 years.





I'm sorry because i couldn't find more information about they :(

Most Famous Songs

As I said in the previous post, I'm going to say some of the most popular "The  Summer Set"  songs, which are also some of my favourite songs of the group:


Love In This Club- It's a version of the song of Usher, called "Live in this Club" also.
I think the two version are good, but, like you will think, I like more the version of The Summer Set. Why? Well,I think the version of Summer Set is more rythmic, and, therefore easier to dance.








Chelsea- This song appear in the album "Love like This", and it have the collaboration of the american actress Chelsea Staub, known in Spain for her appearance in The Bratz movie, and the Jonas serie.


This is my favourite song :)




Close To Me- It's a nice song, like all the Summer Set songs. A good rhythm, lyric  and melody. 

The Boys You Do (Get Back at You)- It's the first song of their 

album "Love like this", a good song.

Well they have a lot of songs, but, I think, these are good to start.

Hi, Everyone!

I'm going to do this blog about The summer set music :)

Perhaps most of you never heard this group, but I think they do a really good music.

In next entries I'll put  some interesting information, songs and event.

Well, I think which the normal form to start  is giving information about how the group started:

The Summer Set is formed by Brian Dales (vocals), Stephen Gomez (bass), Josh Montgomery and John Gomez who play the guitar and the only girl,  Jess Bowen (drums). They started the spring of 2007 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The group released their first  extended play(E.P),"Love da Hoes U Fuq'd" in November 2007.The Summer Set signed a record deal with The Militia Group in the April of next year. Their second E.P was called "In Colours" which was launching the same year.In December 2008 they made their third E.P , "Meet Me on the Left Coast" .

The group did versions of song of different artist, like Usher, which appear in their final E.P

They released a debut album called Love Like Potatoes in October 13, 2009; Their first full length which was re-released with a new name: " Love like Swift", in July,2010, with five new Taylor Swift cover songs.

                         

In next entry I'll put some of their most famous song :)
